TOP SECRET BLUEGRASS BAND

Top Secret is a family bluegrass band that is originally from southern Ontario but now makes their home in Okotoks, Alberta, on the outskirts of Calgary. Formed in 2006, they play a mix of traditional tunes as well as other songs you’ll recognize with a bluegrass feel. 14 year old Morgan Caswell plays solid rhythm and lead guitar. He also sings lead and harmony throughout the set. 11 year old Andrew Caswell delights the crowd with his fiddle breaks and annoys his brother. Once in a while he can be talked into singing a few tunes. Jackie Caswell is a second generation bluegrasser who plays the stand-up bass. Her lead and harmony vocals add a welcome ladies touch to the band. Steve Caswell plays the banjo, mandolin, guitar, sings and tries to keep the boys from fighting. Top Secret enjoys playing bluegrass for anyone who wants to listen and looks forward to meeting you this year.

GREER VALLEY BLACKBIRDS

Comprised of three generations of 'the Black Family', Dennis and Ruby, their son Shayne and his eldest son Tyler. They have been performing publicly now for approximately 8 years and have recently adopted Al Sayers as their bass player. For those who have heard them play, their sweet harmonies are looked forward too.

OLD 'N COUNTRY

Old 'n Country was formed in the spring of 2009, Dennis Hopkins on lead guitar and vocals, his wife Glenise on vocals, Barry O'Brien on rhythm 'n vocals, his wife Cathy, 'boss on bass'. Glenise n Dennis have been running the Saturday evening sessions out at the Cottonwood Hall on the Barkerville highway for several years, where Barry 'n Cathy attend faithfully, (when they aren't Snowbirding in Arizona... Smile) so they decided to combine their music with their friendship and became 'Old 'n Country', playing 'the Oldies but the Goodies of Country Music'.

Some of the other bands coming to the 13th Annual Jamboree are:
Let 'er Rip Country from Chetwynd
Ellaine and Friends of Quesnel
Greer Valley Blackbirds from Prince George
